Responsibilities
- Planting and Cultivation: Assist in the planting, weeding, and general cultivation of crops according to seasonal schedules.
- Harvest Operations: Perform manual harvesting tasks, including picking, sorting, and packing produce efficiently.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate agricultural equipment, including tractors and harvesters, under supervision.
- Field Maintenance: Maintain field cleanliness, manage irrigation systems, and ensure proper drainage.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols while working in outdoor environments.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a diverse team to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy items and standing for long durations.
- H2A Visa Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States under H2A temporary agricultural worker status.
- Willingness to Travel: Must be willing to travel to various farm sites within the Richmond area as needed.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and commitment to safety are essential.
- Basic English: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
