Responsibilities
- Develop 2026-2030 foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario modeling
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into actionable innovation roadmaps
- Produce quarterly 'Future State Briefings' for executive stakeholders and board members
- Partner with R&D to prototype solutions for 2026 market opportunities (e.g., AGI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Establish Horizon Labs as a thought leader through white papers, keynote speeches, and media engagements
- Mentor a team of 3 futurist analysts and guide their research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in corporate innovation, consulting, or research with futurist methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or scenario planning projects
- Expertise in emerging tech: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI governance frameworks
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex futures into compelling narratives
- Proven track record influencing C-suite decisions through data-driven future scenarios
- Experience with foresight tools: Delphi method, STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis
