Responsibilities
- Analyze global tech, economic, and sociopolitical trends to forecast disruptive innovations through 2026
- Develop strategic frameworks for adopting emerging technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology)
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for C-suite executives on future-proofing business models
- Author thought leadership reports on climate resilience, human augmentation, and ethical AI governance
- Partner with R&D to prototype next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Advocate for ethical innovation standards and sustainable development practices
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at global futurist forums and tech summits
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and technology roadmapping
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, blockchain)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published work on future-focused topics (whitepapers, articles, books)
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CSF, WFS)
- Portfolio demonstrating applied futurist projects with measurable impact
