Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging fields (quantum AI, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in partnership with MIT, Stanford, and NASA
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startups for strategic acquisition/partnerships
- Present future-tech frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of 10+ engineers and researchers
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D grants and venture capital
- Author thought leadership for TechCrunch and IEEE journals
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech (AI/quantum/biotech)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering
- Proven track record of launching moonshot projects (> $100M impact)
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks for autonomous systems and AI ethics
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming (Q#)
- Security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
