Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential
- Develop and execute 3-5 year strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Build and manage partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs
- Oversee R&D initiatives in quantum computing, synthetic biology, and advanced AI systems
- Present technology insights to C-suite executives and board members
- Monitor ethical implications and regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products or services
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MS/PhD preferred)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong network in Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
