Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 3-5 year technology innovation roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives exploring quantum applications, AI governance frameworks, and sustainable tech solutions
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology, etc.) for commercial viability
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry leaders
- Present technology vision and progress to executive stakeholders and investors
- Manage innovation pipeline from ideation to pilot implementation
- Stay ahead of regulatory and ethical implications of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, blockchain, or biotech
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical concepts
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Demonstrated success in managing innovation budgets exceeding $1M
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
