Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients via wheelchair/stretcher throughout medical facility
- Assist patients with mobility needs and equipment transfers
- Maintain clean transport equipment and follow infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Complete accurate transport documentation and patient checklists
- Respond to transport requests promptly and prioritize urgent cases
- Adhere to all safety procedures and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- No degree required! High school diploma or equivalent accepted
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient interaction
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license preferred (not required for internal transport)
- Previous healthcare experience beneficial but not required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
