Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops including lettuce, peppers, and melons
- Operate farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems
- Maintain crop health through pest/disease monitoring and organic treatments
- Perform field maintenance including soil preparation, weed control, and pruning
- Adhere to strict food safety protocols (GAP, HACCP) during all operations
- Document daily work activities and crop progress in farm management systems
- Collaborate with supervisors to optimize harvest schedules and yield quality
Qualifications
- Valid H2A visa eligibility or willingness to obtain sponsorship
- Minimum 2 years commercial crop farming experience
- Ability to work 10-12 hour days in extreme heat conditions
- Valid driver's license and equipment operation certification preferred
- Basic English proficiency for safety communications
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform manual labor
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays during peak seasons
- Clean background check and drug-free certification
