Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring rapid containment and resolution.
- Analyze network traffic and system logs to detect anomalies and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the implementation of security patches, firewalls, and access controls.
- Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security policies and incident reports.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Completion of a professional certification in Cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications during employment.
