Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-enhanced machine learning algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing prototype quantum-AI systems
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals (Nature, Science)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit implementations
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA
- mentor 2 junior researchers in quantum machine learning techniques
- Present breakthrough findings at global tech conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or advanced ML research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum machine learning or quantum error correction
- Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
