Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, and evolving global standards
- Lead cross-functional ethical risk assessments for AI projects, identifying bias, fairness, and transparency gaps
- Design explainability protocols for complex AI systems to ensure stakeholder understanding and trust
- Advise product teams on ethical design principles throughout the development lifecycle
- Establish monitoring systems for ongoing ethical compliance and model performance
- Represent the organization in industry consortiums and policy discussions on AI governance
- Create educational programs to build ethical AI literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD/Master's) in Philosophy, Ethics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in AI ethics, governance, or responsible AI implementation
- Expertise in bias detection algorithms, fairness metrics, and transparency techniques
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights, etc.)
- Proven ability to translate complex ethical concepts into actionable technical requirements
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced tech environments
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence executive-level decisions
