Responsibilities
- Harvest and sort crops including tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers according to quality standards
- Operate farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems
- Maintain farm fields through planting, weeding, and pest control activities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist with packing, labeling, and loading produce for shipment
- Participate in seasonal planting and crop rotation programs
- Report equipment issues and maintenance needs to supervisors
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for H2A Visa sponsorship (international applicants welcome)
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic English communication skills (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- Valid driver's license (tractor operation training provided)
- Ability to work 40+ hours per week including weekends and early mornings
- Willingness to relocate to New Orleans area for contract duration
- Clean background check and drug-free certification required
