We are pushing the boundaries of interactive entertainment, and we need someone who can translate complex mechanics into fluid, engaging gameplay experiences.
In this role, you will work closely with our art and design teams to build the next generation of 2D titles. You will be responsible for the entire game development lifecycle, from initial concept to final launch, ensuring our games perform flawlessly across all platforms.
Responsibilities
- Core Gameplay Implementation: Develop and implement core game mechanics, physics, and logic for 2D games using industry-standard engines (Unity 2D or Unreal Engine).
- Rendering & Optimization: Optimize game performance, memory usage, and rendering pipelines to ensure smooth 60 FPS gameplay on various devices.
- UI/UX Development: Create intuitive and responsive user interfaces, menus, and HUD elements that enhance the player experience.
- Cross-Platform Deployment: Port and optimize games for desktop, mobile, and web platforms, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Code Maintenance: Debug, refactor, and maintain existing codebases, ensuring scalability and long-term stability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers and artists to iterate on gameplay features and visual fidelity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in 2D game development.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in C# (Unity) or C++ (Unreal). Strong understanding of 2D physics engines.
- Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing 2D game projects, playable prototypes, or technical demos.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
