Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors (quantum, neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen systems (IoT 4.0, quantum-secure networks)
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Author thought leadership publications on technological singularity implications
- Oversee ethics compliance frameworks for autonomous systems
- Maintain partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with proven tech commercialization track record
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Published research in IEEE Nature or peer-reviewed innovation journals
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Delphi 2.0, Tech Mining)
- Strong background in technology ethics and regulatory frameworks
- Portfolio of deployed systems impacting >1M users
