Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze global technological, economic, and societal trends through 2026+ horizon scanning
- Develop strategic frameworks for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their business applications
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype future-facing solutions and validate market readiness
- Present trend insights and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare for disruptive market shifts and regulatory changes
- Author thought leadership publications and whitepapers on future industry paradigms
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to stay ahead of research frontiers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of successfully predicting and capitalizing on emerging market trends
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario planning, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data synthesis and storytelling abilities with executive presentation experience
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Management, or related field
- Published thought leadership in future-focused publications or journals
- Certification in Foresight methodologies (e.g., CFM) preferred
