Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision
- Process and label specimens according to protocol
- Maintain sterile equipment and clean workstations
- Verify patient identities and explain procedures
- Update electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with medical team for seamless care
Qualifications
- Current phlebotomy certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months clinical experience
- Valid Texas CNA or Medical Assistant license
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Basic computer proficiency for EHR systems
