Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Administer injections and medications per physician orders
- Sterilize equipment and maintain exam room inventory
- Schedule patient appointments and handle insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Active Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification (current)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English/Spanish
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for 8+ hours
- Clear background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver's license for travel between sites
