Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily maintenance and monitoring of Linux and Windows servers during weekend shifts.
- Execute routine system patches, updates, and security configurations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Respond immediately to critical alerts and resolve technical incidents outside of standard business hours.
- Perform backups and verify data integrity to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to troubleshoot escalated issues and implement preventative measures.
- Document all maintenance activities and incident reports in the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Optimize system performance to handle weekend traffic spikes efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Availability to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
