Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs measurements and patient history documentation
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Handle patient scheduling and basic laboratory specimen collection
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all patient records and communications
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays with rotating holidays
