Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs checks and administer medications as directed
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain efficient workflow
- Assist with lab specimen collection and basic diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile examination environments and inventory control
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience with similar platforms)
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced medical environments
- Basic phlebotomy and EKG certification preferred
- Pennsylvania state license required
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
