Apex Systems is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Weekend IT Support Specialist to join our growing team in Albuquerque, NM. As a Weekend Shift Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our internal clients, ensuring that our systems run seamlessly from Friday through Sunday. You will play a crucial role in our disaster recovery and maintenance protocols, keeping our operations robust and our team empowered.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor server infrastructure and network performance to ensure 99.9% uptime during weekend shifts.
- Perform routine system updates, patch management, and security audits on Fridays.
- Document technical incidents and resolutions in the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Assist in the migration and deployment of new hardware and software solutions.
- Conduct user training sessions to enhance IT literacy across the organization.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to escalate critical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Must be available to work full-time weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
