Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients between departments using specialized equipment
- Maintain accurate patient movement documentation and equipment logs
- Coordinate with nursing staff to prioritize urgent transport requests
- Perform routine equipment sanitation and preventive maintenance checks
- Assist with emergency response protocols during critical situations
- Provide clear communication updates to care teams during transfers
- Support facility-wide safety initiatives and compliance protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Minimum 6 months patient care or transport experience
- Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and operate medical equipment
- Exceptional communication skills in diverse healthcare settings
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
- Valid Maryland driver's license preferred
