Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments and scheduling for weekend clinic operations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and digital channels with empathy
- Assist with administrative tasks including insurance verification and documentation
- Support patient intake processes and maintain electronic health records
- Collaborate with on-call physicians to address urgent care needs
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years healthcare administration or patient coordination experience
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Certified Medical Assistant or CMA certification required
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts, 7am-7pm)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance protocols
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
