Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments, admissions, and discharge processes during weekend shifts
- Manage electronic health records with precision and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Facilitate seamless communication between patients, families, and clinical staff
- Handle insurance verification and billing inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Assist in emergency triage protocols and critical patient documentation
- Collaborate with on-call physicians to resolve patient care escalations
- Conduct weekend inventory management for medical supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field required
- 2+ years of patient care coordination experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations
- Valid CPR/BLS certification required
