Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care across multiple departments
- Manage patient intake and electronic health records with precision
- Assist medical providers with clinical procedures and patient education
- Handle insurance verification and billing inquiries
- Maintain HIPAA compliance protocols for all patient data
- Coordinate weekend on-call support for urgent patient needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year healthcare experience in patient-facing role
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/Meditech a plus)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate situations
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends with fixed weekdays off
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license for occasional facility travel
