Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurements, and preliminary health assessments
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain accurate patient records
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate patient scheduling, insurance verification, and billing documentation
- Administer injections, collect specimens, and perform basic lab tests
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid CPR certification and New York State license
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
