Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care activities during weekend shifts, ensuring seamless transitions between departments
- Assist with patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration under supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize patient flow and weekend staffing needs
- Respond to emergency situations following established protocols and escalation procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and post-care instructions
- Participate in weekend staff meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of clinical healthcare experience (CNA, MA, or RN preferred)
- Current Texas state certification and BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems (Epic/EMR experience a plus)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during weekend shifts
- Flexibility to adapt to changing weekend staffing and patient care needs
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional off-site duties
