Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response for cyber threats
- Implement and maintain advanced security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive briefings
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities (CVE analysis)
- Lead security awareness training for government personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- Active CISSP or CEH certification required
- Expertise in threat detection and incident response
- Proficiency with NIST frameworks and FedRAMP standards
- Strong experience with network security tools (Cisco, Palo Alto)
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
