Responsibilities
- Perform patient vital signs and preliminary health assessments
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and injections per physician orders
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Handle patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Basic EHR system proficiency (Epic/EMR experience a plus)
- Tennessee state medical license if applicable
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
