Responsibilities
- Threat Detection: Monitor network traffic and security systems for anomalies and potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents and malware infections.
- Compliance: Ensure all systems and processes comply with federal standards such as NIST, FISMA, and HIPAA.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain robust security policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
- User Training: Educate staff on security best practices and phishing awareness programs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, GSEC, or CEH certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm) and next-generation firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Washington, DC.
