Responsibilities
- Provide rapid assessment and intervention for emergency patients across all age groups
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans with physicians and specialists
- Administer medications and treatments with precision in high-pressure situations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while prioritizing patient safety
- Lead trauma resuscitations and code blue responses
- Preceptor new staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in hospital-wide emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- Current WI RN license (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 5+ years ED experience considered)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) preferred
