Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops (tobacco, sweet potatoes, corn)
- Operate farm machinery including tractors and harvesters
- Maintain crop health through irrigation and pest control
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Assist in post-harvest processing and packing
- Complete daily production reports and quality checks
- Collaborate with diverse international team members
Qualifications
- Valid H2A visa status or eligibility for sponsorship
- Minimum 6 months documented farm experience
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather
- Basic English communication skills
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
- Availability to work 45-60 hours/week including weekends
- Pass background and drug screening
- Willingness to relocate to Durham area
