Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain complex software systems for aerospace applications.
- Code Leadership: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while leading code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
- Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance to ensure real-time processing reliability.
- Testing & QA: Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software robustness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, product managers, and operations teams.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation for architecture and API specifications.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Technologies: Proficiency in C++, Python, or Java; experience with embedded systems or real-time operating systems is a plus.
- Tools: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Relocation: Must be willing and able to relocate to Wichita, KS to start immediately.
