Responsibilities
- Lead Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance software applications using modern technologies.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- System Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in existing systems and implement solutions to improve speed, reliability, and security.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define feature requirements and deliverables.
- Technical Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Testing & Deployment: Implement automated testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment processes.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions to business challenges.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience in a similar role.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js/React), Python, or Java. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Database Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools like Jira or Trello.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude towards deadlines.
- San Diego Residency: Must be willing to work from our San Diego office or adhere to local hybrid schedules.
