Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using AWS and Docker
- Lead API development and integration for IoT sensor networks
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming
- Optimize system performance for real-time data processing
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Contribute to open-source projects supporting marine conservation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience with backend development (Node.js, Python)
- Expertise in relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
- Strong foundation in cloud architecture (AWS/GCP)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in testing frameworks (Jest, Pytest)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure) preferred
