Responsibilities
- Architect and scalable cloud-native applications serving 500K+ daily users
- Lead development of real-time data processing pipelines for city infrastructure systems
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and pair programming sessions
- Optimize application performance using distributed systems best practices
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in backend development with Python/Go
- Expertise in AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure and serverless architectures
- Strong background in microservices design and event-driven systems
- Proven track record of shipping production systems at scale
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and orchestration
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Active security clearance preferred but not required
