Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure systems 24/7 to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
- Analyze system logs, alerts, and metrics to proactively identify potential issues before they impact end-users.
- Execute routine system patches, updates, and backups during off-peak hours to minimize disruption.
- Respond immediately to network incidents, escalations, and tickets, providing Tier 2 technical support and resolution.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of network configurations, incidents, and change logs.
- Collaborate with day shift engineering teams to ensure seamless handovers and continuity of operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Network Operations, NOC, or Help Desk environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Linux and Windows server environments.
- Ability to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and remain alert and focused.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document technical issues clearly.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
