Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues in real-time.
- Implement and manage network security protocols and firewalls to protect data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade hardware and software systems.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes for compliance and future reference.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff members.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or system administration.
- Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Cisco routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Experience with VPNs, VLANs, and OSPF/BGP protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites in Illinois.
