Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen technologies (quantum algorithms, neuromorphic AI, Web3 infrastructure)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for 2026-2030 technology adoption curves
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging threats and opportunities
- Present findings to C-suite and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Secure $5M+ in R&D grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in speculative engineering methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in commercializing breakthrough technologies (3+ products)
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI safety, post-quantum cryptography
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier conference proceedings
- Strong patent portfolio (10+ granted innovations)
- Experience securing federal R&D funding
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning abilities
