Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive trends impacting 2026 technology landscape
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks for product development and market positioning
- Present visionary roadmaps to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Conduct scenario planning for geopolitical, economic, and technological disruptions
- Partner with R&D to validate emerging technologies for commercial viability
- Author thought leadership publications on future-focused innovation
- Mentor junior futurists and build foresight capabilities across the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles
- Proven track record of translating foresight into actionable business strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Exceptional communication skills for executive presentations
- Published work in futurism or strategic innovation journals
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Studies (e.g., from University of Houston)
