The Role:
You will be responsible for architecting and developing high-performance web applications that serve millions of users. You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to ensure our software is not only functional but exceptional.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Node.js).
- Architect RESTful APIs and microservices to support high-traffic environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure engineering excellence.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and overall system architecture.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in a full stack role.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Deep experience with React.js and Node.js ecosystems.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to relocate to Portland, OR.
