As our Weekend Shift DevOps Engineer, you will act as the guardian of our infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, patching, and scaling of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) during the weekend window.
- Automated Deployments: Execute and monitor high-velocity CI/CD pipelines, ensuring zero-downtime deployments to production environments.
- Incident Response: Lead the triage and resolution of critical system alerts, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Scripting & Tooling: Develop and maintain internal automation scripts (Python/Bash) to reduce manual overhead and improve operational efficiency.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security best practices and governance policies during infrastructure changes.
- Monitoring: Analyze telemetry data to predict system bottlenecks before they impact users.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong working knowledge of AWS or Azure services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
- Scripting: Ability to write clean, efficient code in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to the wider engineering team.
- Availability: Must be willing to work a fixed weekend schedule (e.g., Friday-Sunday) and be available for on-call rotation.
