Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced ML models for predictive analytics and policy optimization
- Lead end-to-end data science projects from data collection to stakeholder presentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Create compelling data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI
- Mentor junior data scientists and conduct peer code reviews
- Publish research findings in industry journals and conferences
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of professional data science experience with government/consulting background
- Expert proficiency in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and SQL
- Strong statistical modeling skills (regression, classification, time-series analysis)
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML)
- Proven ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Published research in urban analytics or public sector applications
