Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine learning models to predict policy outcomes and optimize government operations
- Lead end-to-end data science projects from data acquisition to stakeholder presentation
- Develop statistical models for healthcare fraud detection and risk assessment
- Create interactive data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI for executive decision-making
- Mentor junior data scientists and establish best practices for model validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Present findings to C-level executives and government officials
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data science with government or healthcare sector
- Expertise in Python, R, and SQL with proficiency in scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Strong statistical modeling background including regression, classification, and clustering
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
