Responsibilities
- Design and implement predictive models for public sector challenges
- Lead cross-functional projects with policy analysts and government stakeholders
- Develop scalable data pipelines using cloud technologies (AWS/GCP)
- Create compelling data visualizations for executive decision-makers
- Mentor junior data scientists and drive innovation in ML methodologies
- Ensure compliance with federal data security standards (FISMA)
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data science with federal government clients
- Expertise in Python, R, and SQL with production ML deployment
- Strong understanding of policy analysis frameworks
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
- Clearances or ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Published work in peer-reviewed analytics journals preferred
