Responsibilities
- Design & Build: Architect and implement robust, scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using modern cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Data Modeling: Develop complex data models and schemas to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Optimization: Monitor, tune, and optimize data warehouse performance to ensure real-time data availability.
- Collaboration: Partner with data scientists and product managers to define data requirements and deliver high-quality data products.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Migration: Lead migration projects from legacy systems to modern cloud-based data lakes and warehouses.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
- Programming: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Scala or Java.
- Cloud Expertise: Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and services like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Foreign Worker Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the US and willing to undergo the visa sponsorship process (H1B, O-1, or TN visa for Canadians).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality.
