Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and manage SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Lead incident response efforts during security breaches and coordinate with IT teams for recovery.
- Perform regular security audits and report on system health to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
