Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Optimize cloud costs and performance through continuous monitoring and architecture reviews
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Implement security best practices including IAM policies, VPC design, and compliance frameworks
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct architecture reviews for new projects
- Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure 99.99% system uptime
- Research and implement emerging cloud technologies (Serverless, Containers, Multi-cloud)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with AWS/GCP
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent
- Demonstrated success in optimizing cloud costs and performance
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Strong problem-solving skills with complex distributed systems
