Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cloud architectures on AWS with 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Optimize cloud costs through architectural improvements and reserved instance strategies
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps tools
- Lead security compliance initiatives including CIS benchmarks and SOC 2 requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer code reviews
- Document solutions and create runbooks for operational excellence
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC)
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
- Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro preferred)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Proven ability to optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
