Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance backend services specifically for the night shift maintenance window.
- Monitor system health and performance, proactively troubleshooting and resolving critical issues during low-traffic hours.
- Execute automated code deployments, patches, and database migrations with zero downtime to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to optimize CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure security, scalability, and adherence to coding standards.
- Document technical architecture and night shift operational procedures for knowledge transfer.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical strategy discussions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, backend development, or systems administration.
- Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or Node.js).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain high productivity during night hours.
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
- Must be willing and able to commit to a recurring night shift schedule.
